Clarksville National finishes third at Southeast Regional Softball Championship

 

Little League SoftballWarner Robins, GA – The Clarksville National 11-12 year old softball team, representing Tennessee, finished third at the Southeast Regional Little League Championship after a 5-4 loss to Georgia Sunday.

Tennessee scored two runs on two hits in the first inning, but Georgia answered back with a run of their own to make it 2-1.

Both teams failed to score in the second inning, but in the top of the third, Madison Haught drove a ball to right field that scored Madisen Blackwell, and Tennessee led by two, 3-1.

Clarksville Nationals run in the Little League Tournament of State Champions ends with 8-2 loss to Georgia

 

Little League SoftballClarksville, TN – Despite jumping out to an early lead Tennessee state champions Clarksville National saw its stay in the 9-10-year old Little League Tournament of State Champions come to an end, July 27th on Morgan Field at Merricourt Park, as they fell to Georgia 8-2.

Clarksville National hosts Home-Run Derby and Pizza Party to kick off 2014 Tournament

 

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Friday night, the Clarksville Nationals Little League team hosted a meet and greet and home run Derby for the 10 teams that were competing in the 12-year-olds State Little League Tournament. There are 10 teams in the tournament including Clarksville National, and Clarksville Northwest.

The players and their families had the opportunity to enjoy pizzas and soda, before getting down to business of home runs, in the Home Run Derby.

Clarksville National 9-10’s finish third in state tournament after falling to Tullahoma 13-12

 

Little League BaseballGoodlettsville, TN – The Clarksville Nationals 9-10 year-old baseball team pounded out 11 hits and scored 12 runs, July 18th in the Little League State Tournament semifinal game at Moss-Wright Park, but it wasn’t enough, as Tullahoma rallied to win the contest 13-12 in its final at bat.

Clarksville National, who finished third in the tournament, held a 12-10 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but saw Tullahoma get its first two hitters on base with back-to-back singles.
