State of Tennessee releases County Unemployment Rates for January 2014

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentNashville, TN – Tennessee County unemployment rates for January 2014 were released Thursday, March 13th, show the rate decreased in 34 counties, increased in 49 counties, and remained the same in 12.

Clarksville’s unemployment rate was 7.2 percent, down 0.4 percent from December’s 7.6. Clarksville is down 1.5 percent from January 2013’s 8.7 percent unemployment.

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentNashville, TN – County non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for July 2012, shows the rate decreased in 20 counties, increased in 59, and stayed the same in 16.

Tennessee’s unemployment rate for July increased to 8.4 percent, up from the June revised rate of 8.1 percent. The national unemployment rate for July 2012 was 8.3 percent, 0.1 percentage point higher than the June rate.

Montgomery County’s Unemployment Rate Down 0.9 Percent

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentNashville, TN – Tennessee’s unemployment rate for April fell to 7.8 percent, down from the March revised rate of 7.9 percent. The national unemployment rate for April 2012 was 8.1 percent, 0.1 percentage point lower than the March rate.

The state unemployment rate is seasonally adjusted while the county unemployment rates are not.

Rate Increases in 91 Counties and Decreases in four

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development

Nashville, TN – County non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for June 2011, released today show that the rate increased in 91 counties. The four counties that decreased were DeKalb, Hawkins, Moore and Smith.

Tennessee’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate for June was 9.8 percent, up slightly from the May revised rate of 9.7. The national unemployment rate for June 2011 was 9.2 percent, up from the May revised rate of 9.1 percent. Montgomery County had an unemployument rate of 9.9 percent for June, up 0.7 percent from May’s 9.2 percent unemployment.
