Rossview Volleyball withstands Northeast upset bid to advance to 10-AAA semifinals
 Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s volleyball team came within a whisker of dropping its first two games versus Northeast High School, October 7th in the quarterfinals of the District 10-AAA tournament, but rallied to earn a spit of those games on their way to a 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 25-13 victory.

Ohio Valley Conference Golf Championships begin at GreyStone Golf Club

Brentwood, TN – The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference women’s and men’s golf championships will tee-off at the GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tennessee beginning this Sunday. The 54-hole women’s championship will be held April 21st-23rd while the 54-hole men’s championship will take place April 25th-27th.
The course will be a par 72 for each event, with the yardage running 6,858 yards for the men’s teams and 5,964 yards for the women’s teams. Eastern Illinois will serve as the host for the women’s championship while Morehead State is the host of the men’s event.

APSU’s Chris Horton named OVC Freshman of the Year joins Travis Betran on OVC All-Newcomer team

Brentwood, TN – Chris Horton, who became the first conference player to block 100 or more shots since 1996-97, has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year.
In addition, Horton and Govs’ leading scorer Travis Betran were been named to the OVC All-Newcomer team. The OVC post-season basketball honors were announced Tuesday by the league office after a vote of league coaches and sports information directors.
