Seacaucus, NJ – Four Austin Peay State University baseball student-athletes were selected, Saturday, on the third day of the Major League Baseball First-Year Draft.
Along with senior closer Tyler Rogers, who was picked in Friday’s action, the five APSU players drafted this season is a program record.

Clarksville, TN – Junior Craig Massoni hit .634 and senior Casey Delgado struck out 16 batters to lead Austin Peay State University to a road sweep against UT Martin last weekend, earning the pair adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced, Monday.

APSU to host Riverview Inn Classic this weekend

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team continues its 12-game homestand when it hosts the Riverview Inn Classic, Friday-Sunday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.
The six-game, round-robin tournament will feature APSU vs, Creighton, Milwaukee and University of Arkansas-Little Rock(UALR) with two games scheduled each day. It will be the first time Austin Peay has met Creighton and UALR on the baseball diamond, while Milwaukee returns for the 19th meeting in the series after a one-year hiatus.

APSU Athlete of the week Craig Massoni

Clarksville, TN – Junior first baseman Craig Massoni, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
The Danville, CA, native hit .385 in three games last week, adding a home run and seven RBI. Much of Massoni’s damage came in his monstrous 3-for-4, six-RBI outing against Southern Illinois, Tuesday. Each of his hits drove in two Governor runs in an 11-8 victory.
