Memphis, TN – The FBI Memphis Field Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Secret Service – Nashville Field Office are warning potential victims of a rise in money mule schemes.
Acting as a money mule—allowing others to use your bank account, or conducting financial transactions on behalf of others jeopardizes your financial security and compromises your personally identifiable information. Protect yourself by refusing to send or receive money on behalf of individuals and businesses for which you are not personally and professionally responsible.
Washington, D.C. – This week, we honored the brave men and women who have served our country in the United States Armed Forces. The founding principles of our country would not have endured for so long were it not for the individuals who answer the call of duty to defend our freedom at home and abroad.
On the Senate floor, I highlighted many great stories our Tennessean veterans shared with me on social media.

Washington, D.C. – President Donald Trump just finished thanking law enforcement officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for their efforts helping to quell violence and protect neighborhoods from additional damage after a series of violent riots last week.
“Law enforcement has just done such a great job working with the National Guard and working with a lot of people . . . We’re here to show our support for Kenosha,” President Trump said.
Nashville, TN – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown female who impersonated an account holder at an area bank in Middle Tennessee. Between August 5th and August 7th, the unknown female used the account holder’s stolen identification to cash stolen checks from another bank to receive cash.
The female suspect may be wearing a wig and was seen operating a silver Dodge SUV and a blue Hyundai sedan during multiple drive thru transactions.
Washington, D.C. – PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Okay. Thank you very much, everybody. So we have some very interesting news. Kevin Clinesmith, a corrupt FBI attorney who falsified FISA warrants in James Comey’s very corrupt FBI, is expected to plead guilty.
You probably heard that. It just came out. So that’s just the beginning, I would imagine, because what happened should never happen again. So, he is pleading guilty. Terrible thing. Terrible thing. The fact is they spied on my campaign and they got caught. And you’ll be hearing more.
Washington, D.C. – Silicon Valley has turned into the wild west, and big tech companies are abusing Americans’ personal data; but if the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is going to be the cop on the beat protecting privacy, it needs the tools to do so.
At this week’s Senate Commerce hearing, I asked Chairman Joseph Simons of the FTC to provide an update on new restrictions that will require Facebook to restructure its approach to consumer privacy.
Henning, TN – He was once named one of the FBI’s “10 Most Wanted Fugitives.” Now, the Tennessee Department of Corrections reports former prison escapee is back in Tennessee to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Lohman Ray Mays, Jr, an habitual offender who escaped from the Turney Center Industrial Prison 36 years ago, was recaptured in Wyoming in 1985 and has since been serving a federal sentence for bank robbery.
Washington, D.C. – PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Thank you very much. I guess I might begin. It’s an honor to be with you and really brave men and women. The job you do is incredible, and the progress that you’ve made in the last short period of time has been unbelievable.
On April 1st of this year, I announced the launch of a powerful U.S. military law enforcement operation to combat the flow of illegal drugs across the Western Hemisphere. Today I’m pleased to be with Admiral Craig Faller and his team — done an incredible job — at the U.S. Southern Command headquarters to provide an update on this incredible successful effort.
Nashville, TN – The FBI Nashville Resident Agency has seen a recent increase in phone calls that spoof the office’s phone number as part of a Social Security scam. The callers will often “spoof,” or fake, the FBI Nashville Resident Agency’s phone number, 615.232.7500, so the call appears to be coming from the FBI on the recipient’s caller ID.
In this scam, fraudulent callers inform the victim that their Social Security number has been suspended and there is a warrant out for their arrest.
