Fort Campbell Riding Stables to hold Wild West Horse Camp


Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – The children are going to be out of school for summer break.  Are you looking for an educational and fun camp for them?  Let Fort Campbell Riding Stables teach your children the ins and outs of the wild-west.

Campers will learn tacking, grooming, conformation, feeding, breed types and riding.  Parents are required to remain at camp with the 3 to 5 year olds.  Registration for Wild West Camp opens on June 1 and ends on June 30th.  Camps fill up quickly so be sure to register early.  Payment is required at time of registration. «Read the rest of this article»

Youth Prepare Beef Stew for the Homeless


Emmanuel Family Life CenterClarksville, TN – On January 14th, 2012 the Emmanuel Family Life Center opens its kitchen for youth enrolled in the LEAP Intern Program to prepare a meal to feed the homeless. Mentor, Renita Garrett recognized an opportunity to use her skill in cooking to not only teach youth monthly how to prepare various meals, but also feed those in need.

Renita took the initiative to reach out to Loaves and Fishes to coordinate partnering with them to distribute the beef stew that the youth prepared.
