Campbell Crossing celebrates Earth Day on Fort Campbell

 

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Campbell Crossing, the on-post housing community on Fort Campbell, recently hosted their annual Earth Day Extravaganza. The event was a huge success with soldiers, residents and families who came out to participate.

The event kicked off with the planting of a shade tree at the Werner Park Community Center, donated by the Fort Campbell Exchange.

Residents of all ages had a blast digging for worms.

7th annual Angels of the Battlefield set for September 13th

 

Fort Campbell Armed Services YMCAClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 the Armed Services YMCA of Fort Campbell will hold the 7th annual Angels of the Battlefield at Valor Hall Event Center at 6:00pm. Valor Hall Event Center is located at 105 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, KY.

Serving as the keynote speaker this year is Noah Galloway, former soldier with 502nd Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Soldier recognized during annual Medic recognition

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital  (BACH) medic Staff Sgt. Travis Lander was honored at the 6th Annual Angels of the Battlefield ceremony October 29th, at the Wilma Rudolph Events Center in Clarksville, TN.

Maj. Gen. Richard W. Thomas, Director of Healthcare Operations for the Defense Health Agency, served as the keynote speaker at the event, hosted by Fort Campbell’s Armed Services YMCA.  Lander was among 16 medics honored, nearly half of whom served in Vietnam. The remaining honorees were Fort Campbell active duty Soldiers who served in the most recent conflicts.
