Fort Campbell, KY – A rocking horse, meant to bring joy to children while honoring a fallen Soldier, was donated to the Fort Campbell Fisher House, October 13th, 2017.
The horse was hand crafted by volunteers in honor of Sgt. 1st Class Tony Knier, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Knier died October 21st, 2006 from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Bayji, Iraq.
New store offers convenient in-store and digital shopping at Walmart prices; Opened October 14th
Clarksville, TN – The new Walmart Neighborhood Market in Clarksville opened to the community Dover Road Wednesday, October 14th, bringing a broad assortment of fresh, affordable groceries at Walmart’s everyday low prices.
Customers will also enjoy the convenience of on-site services such as a full pharmacy and fuel station and a free store pickup service providing an easy way to shop millions of products on Walmart.com. Special One Day discounts, Giveaways and Entertainment
Clarksville, TN – Military Appreciation Day at Governor’s Square Mall is Saturday, April 11th. Active duty and retired service members and family members (with dependent ID) receive special one day discounts at the mall from 10:00am-9:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – As students packed into the gym at West Creek Middle School in Clarksville, Friday, months of planning had finally came to fruition.
The school’s administration had worked closely with Soldiers from the 716th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade, supported by the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, to give the students something special for Veterans Day.
The students, West Creek Middle School’s faculty, members of the 716th MP Bn., veterans, and community members gathered for a patriotic ceremony honoring Veterans Day.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to offer vaccines and screenings during Fort Campbell’s Retiree Appreciation Day
Fort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s primary care team is organizing opportunities for retirees within the community to participate in the annual health fair offered as part of Fort Campbell Retiree Appreciation Day September 27th from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
The health fair will be located in hospital’s “C” entrance off Bastogne Avenue and the Retiree Fair will be at Cole Park Commons.
Clarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k, powered by CDE Lightband, announced Tuesday they would donate over $50,000 to local non-profits and community organizations.
The largest recipients, the Clarksville Area YMCA and the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation, were both on hand to accept donations of $15,000 each. Christy Batts, Broadband Division Manager for the Clarksville Department of Electricity, was also in attendance to present the checks to the recipients.
Clarksville, TN – The Tiny Town Curves location is celebrating its third birthday by raising money for the Fort Campbell Fisher House through various competitions and special events on Tuesday, September 18th. Tiny Town Curves will open its doors to the community for a day of festivities while raising money and awareness for a cause that is important to so many of its members.
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday Hilldale Baptist Church played host to third annual Unity Day celebration. The goal of Unity Day is to build a stronger community by recognizing and joining together religious, governmental and business leaders in fellowship.
Unity Day was founded by Treva Gordon, the owner and publisher of the Convenient Shopper Magazine. “I was watching an awards show on television and I was so inspired by the way they honored the pop star’s and the rap artists. It was wonderful; they had the gift bags, bling bling, the limos, and everything that went with it. That was awesome!” she said to herself.
