“Oklahoma!” opens this Friday at Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – Legends Bank presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s masterpiece “Oklahoma!” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, beginning this Friday, July 27th, 2018 at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
The high-spirited rivalry between cowboys and farmers in Western Indian territory, just after the turn of the century, provides the colorful background for love between handsome cowboy Curly (played by Hunter Brown) and winsome farm girl Laurey (Amy Laviolette).

Clarksville, TN – Although nearly 15,000 women served in Vietnam during the war, at that time there was little to no media coverage about these unsung heroes’ experiences and sacrifices, or their homecomings and readjustment difficulties.
This month, the Roxy Regional Theatre explores the often overlooked contributions of women in service with Shirley Lauro’s “A Piece of my Heart”, opening Friday, April 13th, at 8:00pm. Idealistic young scientist Dr. Henry Jekyll creates a mixture he hopes will eliminate human evil. In doing so, however, he unleashes the dark forces within, creating the hideous and murderous Mr. Hyde.

Roxy Regional Theatre to Premier Little Women: The Musical on November 7th
Clarksville, TN – Originally published at the turn of the nineteenth century, Louisa May Alcott’s acclaimed story of love and family stands the test of time. This fall, the Roxy Regional Theatre presents a new version of this enduring American classic with “Little Women: The Musical”, November 7th – November 29th.
Based on Alcott’s own life and originally starring Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern in the Broadway production, “Little Women” follows the adventures of sisters Jo (Allie McCaw), Meg (Elena Pascullo), Beth (Laura Donnelly) and Amy March (Corinne Bupp) and their experiences growing up in Civil War America.

“A Year With Frog and Toad” now playing at Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre
Clarksville, TN – Spend four fun-filled seasons with Arnold Lobel’s beloved storybook characters in the Tony-nominated musical “A Year With Frog and Toad”, playing December 18th – 21st at the Roxy Regional Theatre.
In Robert and Willie Reale’s whimsical show, Frog and Toad wake from hibernation in the Spring, plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. Part vaudeville, part make-believe and all charm, “A Year With Frog and Toad” incorporates stories from Lobel’s four books, including the Caldecott Honor-winning Frog and Toad are Friends and the Newbery Honor-winning Frog and Toad Together.
