Stark named CIAF Athlete of the Week

Austin Peay State UniversityDevin StarkClarksville, TN – Devin Stark, a junior on the Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

The Memphis native impressed as he returned home, Saturday, setting career highs in both catches and yards, with nine catches for 107 yards. On the young season Stark has 13 catches for 168 yards, he had a total of 19 catches in 10 games last season. «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay State University GovernorsHampton, GA – Senior Boniface Yator finished just outside the top 10 and Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team finished sixth at the Georgia State Invitational, Saturday, at the Nash Farm Battlefield.

Yator posts top-10 finish, Govs finish third at UAH

 

APSU Sports: Men’s Cross Country

Austin Peay State University GovernorsHuntsville, AL – Senior Boniface Yator posted a sixth-place finish to lead Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team to a third-place finish at the Fleet Feet Sports/Earl Jacoby Memorial at Sharon Johnston Park.

Yator led the Govs, finishing the eight-kilometer course in 27:09, just 1:27 behind the winning pace set by UAH’s Blaise Binns.  Junior Geofrey Kosgei finished 13th with a time of 27:31 as they ran into trouble in the race’s second half.

Govs, Lady Govs cross country schedules revealed, Friday

 

APSU Sports: Men’s Cross Country and Women’s Cross Country

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay men’s cross country team travels to five different states as part of their 2011 schedule presented by head coach Doug Molnar, Friday.

The cross country season begins with its annual visit to Nashville’s Percy Warner Park, September 2nd, for the Belmont Opener. Austin Peay hits its second state of the season for the October 10th Fleet Sports/Earl Jacoby Memorial hosted by Alabama-Huntsville. The squads will then make their first-ever appearance at the Georgia State Invitational, September 17th, before taking a week off.
