Clarksville National 9-10’s keep State Tournament run alive with 16-9 win over Gallatin

 

Little League BaseballGoodlettsville, TN – A day after being shutout and no-hit, Clarksville National 9-10 year-old baseball team responded with a 16-run, 12-hit performance, July 16th at Moss-Wright Park, to keep its Little League State Tournament run alive with a 16-9 victory versus Gallatin.

It didn’t take Clarksville National long to get thing going, as they scored five runs in the top of the first inning, with Collin Pedigo, Patton Samuels and Scotty Carter all driving in runs with RBI singles – while Cameron Greathouse picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

City and County offices have received calls about Halloween events, including trick-or-treating times. Neither the City nor County regulates trick-or-treating times nor can they “reschedule” a holiday, including Halloween.

Cornerback Jason McCourty appreciates opportunity to Remain a Tennessee Titan

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Jason McCourty said Sunday that he loves being a Titan and really likes what the team has shown in three preseason games.

McCourty signed a multi-year contract extension Thursday, hours before the Titans’ defense recorded four sacks and forced five turnovers against the Arizona Cardinals.

“I love this organization,” said McCourty, a sixth-round selection in 2009. “It’s a great team. I was excited that they wanted to keep me here. Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – The 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament continued Friday night, July 27th at the Clarksville National Fields. The first game started at 6:00pm. It was the continuance of the Thursday night game between Goodlettsville and Spring Hill that was postponed due to rain.

Greenville gets win Thursday night in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament; Second game postponed due to Rain

 

Clarksville National Little League is hosting the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – The 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament continued Thursday night, July 26th at the Clarksville National Fields. Smith County took on Greenville in the 6:00pm game. Greenville won the hard fought match 6-2.

The second game of the night featured Goodlettsville against Spring Hill. The game was postponed due to rain at the top of the third inning with one pitch thrown. The score was tied at zero. The game will pick up where it left off Friday night at 6:00pm.

Greenville played Smith County Thursday night in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament.

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – he 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament continued Tuesday night, July 24th at the Clarksville National Fields. In the 6:00pm game, Smith County took on Spring Hill. Smith County pulled out the win in eight innings, 5-4.

Northwest lost to Johnson County Monday night in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament, 18-12

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Northwest locked horns with Johnson County at the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament held Monday night, July 23rd at Clarksville National field. Johnson County loaded the bases in the top of the 1st with no outs.

Northwest’s pitcher Cortny Griffin struck out the next batter. Griffin then walked a batter and hit another. He then settled down and struck out the next two. Johnson County got two runs but left the bases loaded.

Johnson County beat Montgomery Central 8-2 Sunday night in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

 

Clarksville National Little League is hosting the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Johnson County and Montgomery Central met in the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament Sunday night, July 22nd at the Clarksville National fields. Montgomery Central jumped out early scoring a run in the 1st inning. Both teams failed to score in the 2nd inning. Montgomery Central push another run across the plate in the top of the 3rd.

In the bottom of the 4th, Johnson County loaded the bases with no outs. Brandon Vannoy then hit a double scoring two. This opened things up for Johnson County as they went on to score five more runs in the inning.

Goodlettsville drops Montgomery Central 18-0 in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

 

Clarksville National Little League is hosting the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Montgomery Central and Goodlettsville kicked of the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament Saturday, July 21st at 12:00pm. It was a defensive battle through the first two innings of play with both teams scoreless.

In the top of the 3rd inning, Goodlettsville got the bats going scoring 12 runs in the inning aided by a few Montgomery Central errors. Goodlettsville went on to an 18-0 win over Montgomery Central.
