Dover, TN – Northwest High School girls basketball team had a chance at its third win of the season, Monday, December 29th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the final day of the Stewart County Rebel Christmas Classic, but missed three throws and layups came back to haunt the Lady Vikings in a 42-40 loss to Cheatham County Central High School.
Tied 40-40, the Lady Vikings (2-13) had a chance to retake the lead with 1:40 left, with Dashia Huey going to the line to shoot a one-and-one free throw after being fouled, but she missed the front end of the attempt keeping the game tied.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats overcome foul trouble to defeat Cheatham County to open Rebel Christmas Tournament
Dover, TN – With two of its leading scorers and rebounds in foul trouble most of the afternoon, Saturday, December 27th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium, Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team got a lift from its perimeter players, as the Lady Wildcats defeated Cheatham County Central High School, 59-52 to open the Stewart County Rebel Christmas Tournament.
With Haley Bearden and Ta’Tayana Outlaw in foul trouble for Clarksville High (7-8) guards Ellie Treanton, JK Cummings and Hannah Goins picked up the scoring slack for the Lady Wildcats, as the trio combined for 40 of the team’s 59 points and all six of its shots from behind the three-point arc.

Kenwood Lady Knights loses 78-70 to Cheatham County in overtime
 Clarksville, TN – A desperation three at the buzzer forced Kenwood High School’s girls basketball team into overtime, Friday, November 21st, where they never truly recovered in a 78-70 loss to Cheatham County High School.
Kenwood (2-3) led 63-60 following two free throws from Jasmine Johnson, with 12.6 seconds left in regulation, giving the Lady Cubs one final chance to tie the game.
Cheatham County (3-2) brought the ball up the court quickly to get into their offensive set and into the hands of their leading scorer Savannah Worlund.

Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars Soccer Pounces on the Cheatham County Lady Cubs 4-2
Clarksville, TN – After a couple of defensive lapses in the first half, leading to a 2-2 tie, the Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars soccer team clawed their way to a 4-2 win over the Cheatham County Lady Cubs at home Thursday, September 4th.
The Lady Cougars played aggressively, constantly attacking the Lady Cubs who appeared a step behind most of the game. That aggression led to 32 shots taken by the Lady Cougars, 18 on goal. However, it also led to mistakes that let the Lady Cubs score two goals in the first half.
