Intertribal Powwow celebrates Native Traditions at Port Royal

 

 Native Cultural CircleClarksville, TN – This past weekend, October 8th and 9th, hundreds of people descended on Port Royal State Park to attend the 19th Annual Intertribal Powwow and 10th Annual Trail of Tears Memorial Walk.

The event kicked off with the Trail of Tears Memorial Walk which symbolizes the return of Native Americans via the trail that took them to the Oklahoma Territories in the 1830s. During that time around 125,000 Native Americans were resettled into Indian territory which is around modern-day Oklahoma.

 Native Cultural CircleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Native Cultural Circle is proud to present the 19th Annual Intertribal Powwow and 10th Annual Trail of Tears Memorial Walk! All drums and the public are welcome!

The Intertribal Powwow will be held October 8th and 9th on the Powwow grounds located just outside of Port Royal State Park in Adams, TN.

American Pride Present at the Native Cultural Circle’s 14th Annual Powwow

 

Adams, TN – The 14th Annual Intertribal Powwow presented by the Native Cultural Circle (NCC) of Clarksville presents Native Peoples of America showing pride in their culture and in being heroes who keep America free. Great emphasis is shown in honoring all Veterans of the United States Armed Forces as well as police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.

The Native Cultural Circle’s Powwow offers wonderful adventures

 

As a first time attendee to a Native American Powwow, I was not quite sure what to expect. I thought I would see some beautiful costumes and dances but I was pleasantly surprised at the array of adventures I had in store.

The 13th Annual Clarksville Area Intertribal Powwow, sponsored by the Native Cultural Circle (NCC), was held Saturday and Sunday in the next to Port Royal State Park. A Powwow is a gathering of Native Americans and friends to celebrate the culture and traditions of the Native Peoples of the Americas.

Come out and experience another culture right in your back yard with the NCC Powwow

 

Clarksville, TN – The Native Cultural Circle (NCC) of Clarksville will be holding their 13th annual Intertribal Powwow on October 9th and 10th; the festivities begin around 9:00am on Saturday, and 10:00am on Sunday.
