APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – After Austin Peay State University (APSU) soccer fell behind in the first half and trailing for almost the entirety of the second half, an 85th minute goal from Anna McPhie was the equalizer that would ultimately send the match to an overtime draw and secure the Govs’ spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Soccer Championship, Friday, on a rainy day at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

APSU Softball team honors fallen Green Berets at Fort Campbell

 

5th Special Forces GroupFort Campbell, KY – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Governors softball team worked out with members of 5th Special Forces Group (A), but the hardest part of their day was learning about Green Berets they’ll represent in their upcoming season.

“The most important part of today was coming out to this field and being able to realize that there are more important things than softball,” said APSU head coach Kassie Stanfill. “It’s a huge honor for my team to wear these names on their jerseys and it’s amazing that we are getting an opportunity to represent a family that’s lost someone.”

APSU SoftballClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay Peay State University softball’s Red Team rallied from behind to score three seven-inning runs, then held off the APSU Black Team in the bottom of the inning, Wednesday afternoon at Cathi Maynard Park-Cheryl Holt Field, as they won the finale of the Austin Peay Softball Fall World Series, 4-3.

Instant Peay Play: Postseason soccer berth on the line for APSU Govs showdown versus Eastern Illinois

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – After missing the postseason a year ago, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) soccer team can earn a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship Tournament field, 6:00pm, Friday, October 25th at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field, with a victory versus Eastern Illinois.

The Governors enter the final week of the regular season with an overall record of 4-8-3 and a 3-4-1 mark in OVC play after dropping a heartbreaking, 2-1, double-overtime final to Murray State this past Sunday.
