Nashville, TN – With 3:01 left in the game, Matt Hasselbeck completes a 2-yard touchdown pass to Damian Williams to carry the Tennessee Titans past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-17 Sunday afternoon.
Chris Johnson carried the ball 23 times for a season-high 190 yards against the Buccaneers for an average of 8.3 yards per carry. It was the third-highest rushing yardage total in his four-year career, and the performance ranks 13th in franchise history. Nashville, TN – The Titans (5-5) return to LP Field (capacity 69,143) this week after two games on the road. They square off against their third consecutive opponent from the NFC South, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6), on Sunday, November 20th.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST. The Titans are 7-2 all-time against the Buccaneers, including a 6-0 mark at home. However, the Buccaneers got the better of the Titans in the most recent matchup, winning 13-10 at Raymond James Stadium in 2007.
After that game, the Titans went on a 12-game winning streak against NFC clubs. They have won 13 of their last 15 games against the NFC, and their .711 interconference winning percentage since 2002 realignment ranks third in the NFL.

Drew Brees and Reggie Bush limited their dress rehearsal to putting on their New Orleans’ uniforms and pregame warmup before watching from the sideline all night long.
Alvin Pearman’s 5-yard touchdown with 3:18 left helped the Titans beat the Saints 27-24 on Thursday night in the preseason finale where both teams thought of safety first for their key stars.
Vince Young tossed a TD, LeGarrette Blount also ran for a score and Rob Bironas kicked two field goals for Tennessee (2-2).
New Orleans looked ahead to the NFL’s regular-season opener on September 9th when the defending Super Bowl champs host the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre.
