Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County to accept applications for Pet Food Program, Monday

 

Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery CountyClarksville, TN – This Monday, January 8th, 2018, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County will open its doors from 2:00pm-5:00pm to accept applications from low income pet owners in need of assistance with dog or cat food.

This time slot is reserved for households that have never received food bank assistance from the Humane Society in the past.

This young lady collected pet food donations for the Humane Society in lieu of gifts for her birthday, which is a great way to support the pet food bank. The pet food bank serves low income families, Humane Society foster families, and local rescue organizations when overstock permits. (Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County)

Highschool Students complete Youth Career Development Program

 

Clarksville Association of REALTORSClarksville, TN – On April 6th, the Clarksville Association of Realtors was the center point for recognizing the achievement of students from various high schools who completed the 12 week Youth Career Development Program.

The graduates consisted of Cassidy Ebersole, Stacey Jenkins, Raven Ross, Matthew Ebel, Courtney Carter, and David Johnson.  Upon receiving their certificate of completion and final program stipend, each student was awarded the opportunity to share what they learned throughout the program.

West Creek High School Awards Students Academic Honors

 

Clarksville, TN – One week ago today West Creek High School held its Academic Honors Ceremony recognizing the students who excelled throughout the school year. During the ceremony almost $500,000 in scholarships were presented to West Creek High School students.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, City Council Woman Candy Johnson, and Kay Martin  attended on behalf of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation.

Mana Cafe Ministries receives donation from Magic At the Museum’s presenting sponsor Better Homes & Garden Real Estate Hometown Connection

 

Better Homes and Gardens Real EstateClarksville, TN – Yesterday Maurice Vaughn from Better Homes and Garden Real Estate Hometown Connection presented a check for $1600 to Kenny York from Mana Café Ministries. The check is the proceeds from the first Magic at the Museum benefit show.

York organized Mana Cafe Ministries together with his wife Vicki in May 2010. Together they have a combined 16 years experience serving the poor.

The first Magic at the Museum was a success

 

Magic at the MuseumClarksville, TN – On Saturday, March 26th at 2:00pm, Bonehead Promotions held their first Magic at the Museum magic show at the Customs House Museum. The show featured the extremely talented Russ Nowack of Hocus Pocus Entertainment.

Other activities included a balloon animals created by Roger Patton Magician and Balloon Artist, and face painting.

Magic at the Museum coming to the Customs House Museum this Saturday

 

Magic at the MuseumClarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum will become “magical” on Saturday March 26th at 2:00pm, as “Magic at the Museum” launches a new series of magic shows for charity.  Better Homes and Garden Hometown Connection has signed on to present a wonderful afternoon filled with magic, balloon tricks, face painting for the children, and more!

Chick-fil-A on Madison Street Hosts Food and Gift Drives

 

Clarksville, TN –  The Chick-fil-A® restaurant on Madison Street will give a free Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich to customers who donate ten canned or non-perishable food items from November 1st to November 30th. Items should be brought to the store. All donations will go to the Mana Café Ministries where they will be distributed to the needy.

The restaurant will host spirit days for Mana Café Ministries on November 1st and November 15th. When customers mention Mana Café Ministries on those days, 15 percent of their purchase will go to the cause.
