Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, June 12th, 2018, I spoke on the Senate floor about the need for additional resources to secure the southern border — following my trip to the El Paso Texas sector last week.
Every day our agents are carrying out their job. I am grateful to them for their service and am so impressed by their resolve to protect this nation.
They go out underfunded, disrespected, not knowing what they are going to encounter.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI)
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to its ‘TBI Top 10 Most Wanted’ list, Eric Anton Balkin.
Balkin (DOB 12-21-82) is wanted by the Memphis Police Department and TBI to face four counts of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, 13 counts of Aggravated Robbery, nine counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of Intentionally Evading Arrest in an Automobile.
Memphis, TN – A fugitive who was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top 10 Most Wanted list in November is now in custody, after being captured in Texas.
Antoine Adams, DOB 11/21/1989, was wanted by the Marshall County (Mississippi) Sheriff’s Office, the Memphis Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for his escape from the Marshall County (MS) Jail on November 5th.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to its ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list: Antoine Lashun Adams.
Adams (DOB 11-21-89) is wanted by the Marshall County (Mississippi) Sheriff’s Office, the Memphis Police Department, and the TBI, after escaping from a jail in Marshall County, Mississippi on November 5th.
There, he was being held in connection to a homicide in Slayden, MS, but Adams also faces First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery charges in Shelby County, Tennessee, in connection to the death of Marquis Bell in February 2017.
Memphis, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has canceled its Tennessee state wide Amber Alert for missing 1-year-old Isiah Edwards. The Memphis Police Department have found the child and he is safe.
The baby was never in danger according to Memphis Police. He was not in the car when it was stolen. The child had been with relatives since last night.
The mother had told police that her child was in the car when it was stolen from a gas station. This set off a massive search for the child and the TBI issuing an Amber Alert. The mother now faces some serious charges for giving a false report.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide AMBER Alert on behalf of Memphis Police Department for 1-year old Isiah Edwards, a black male, 2’ and 25 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt, camouflage pants and black “Jordan” tennis shoes.
Isiah was in the back of a vehicle that was stolen at approximately 12:40pm in the 6200 block of Knight Arnold Road in Memphis. The vehicle has been recovered.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) named Trooper Nathan W. Hall the 2012 Trooper of the Year at a special award ceremony held Thursday evening in Murfreesboro, TN. Trooper Hall earned the honor after preventing a possible suicide attempt by a juvenile last December in Sullivan County.
“Trooper Hall is a great example of what is expected of a Tennessee State Trooper. He’s professional, courageous, works hard and has a positive attitude. His actions on the night of December 16th, 2012 were nothing short of heroic. Trooper Hall is an outstanding representative of our agency and deserves the Trooper of the Year recognition,” Colonel Tracy Trott said.
TBI Releases 2011 “Hate Crime” and “LEOKA” Reports
Nashville, TN – The State of Tennessee saw an increase in the number of hate crimes committed in the state and a decrease in the number of law enforcement officers killed or assaulted for the calendar year 2011, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s statistical analysis of Tennessee crime statistics and the compiling of two separate, annual reports.
The TBI released both “Tennessee Hate Crime 2011” and “Tennessee Law Enforcement Officers Killed or Assaulted (LEOKA) 2011” based on required monthly reporting of local law enforcement agencies crime statistics across the state. «Read the rest of this article»
