City Saver Coupon Book Continues to Help Clarksville Schools Raise Money and Local Families Save Money
Clarksville, TN – For the seventh consecutive year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and the CMC Education Foundation have partnered to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run from January 13th – February 10th, 2017.
Last year’s campaign raised over $200,000 for local schools and the CMC Education Foundation, with a total of $1.2 million raised over the past six years.
During this year’s campaign, all Clarksville-Montgomery County elementary and middle school students will sell the new 2017 Clarksville City Saver coupon book, which contains thousands of dollars in savings at over 200 local favorite restaurants, attractions and retail stores.

Clarksville, TN – For the fifth consecutive year, The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and Education Foundation have partnered together to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run now until February 13th, 2015.

Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, December 11th, 2013, the Clarksville Police Department’s (CPD) District 3 Criminal Investigations Unit met with Local Retail Personnel (LRP) about retail criminals and current retail crime trends. “Each year organized groups of professional shoplifters steal or fraudulently obtain billions of dollars in merchandise to resell in an activity known as organized retail crime (ORC)(gao.gov, 2014).” One of these rings can steal between $2,000 and $12,000 worth of merchandise in a single day, making this a $40 billion dollar a year industry for criminals.

Clarksville, TN – The Best of Clarksville fundraiser for the March of Dimes is eagerly awaited each year by both businesses and area residents. The fundraiser this year featured 140 businesses in 65 categories; each one looking to score the votes of area residents to be declared The Best of Clarksville. The event consists of local vendor booths, silent auctions, dance performances, free give-a-ways, and a fireworks show by Allen’s Fireworks. All of the money raised is donated to the March of Dimes.
Matthews Nissan Suzuki was the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors included Five Star Radio, Sango Village Florist, US Bank, Cumberland Bank and Trust, FedEx, Allen’s Fireworks, Ad One Advertising, WJZM 1400 AM, and The Leaf-Chronicle.
