Nashville, TN – Last week’s brutal winter storm has created an abundance of potholes along interstates and state highways in Middle Tennessee and West Tennessee.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is launching a massive effort using all available manpower to repair the damaged areas as quickly as possible.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Montgomery County will be doing sidewalk construction on SR 13 (LM 23-26).
Nightly, from 12:00am-11:00am, there will be a lane closure for construction work.

Nashville, TN – As you know, work is underway by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to repair the damage left behind by the recent winter storms, specifically potholes.
Great progress is being made, with crews working to cover more than 11,000 lane miles in 26 middle Tennessee counties.

Nashville, TN – In Montgomery County, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that Friday August 23rd through Wednesday August 28th, 7:00pm-5:00am, in Clarksville Tennessee there will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 112 (U.S. 41 A – Madison Street) between mile marker 9.0 and mile marker 10.0 in order to pave and stripe the roadway.

Tennessee Department of Transportation Maintenance Work for Montgomery County area starting June 21st, 2013
Nashville, TN – In Montgomery County, the Tennessee Department of Transporation (TDOT) will be doing resurfacing and bridge deck repair on I-24 from SR 76 to the Robertson County Line.
On Friday, June 21st through Wednesday June 26th, 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating one lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to pave the roadway. Also, traffic will be shifted on the ramp at exit 11.0 for concrete repairs. «Read the rest of this article»
Tennessee Department of Transportation crews are taking advantage of the break from snow and ice removal to patch and repair potholes across the state. TDOT is reminding motorists to keep an eye out for these mobile maintenance crews. Winter weather extremes lead to an increase in potholes on state highways and bridges. Potholes form when moisture seeps into cracks in the pavement, then freezes and thaws causing the cracks to expand. For a decade the nation’s truckers have recognized the volunteer state as one of the top five roadway systems in the country and for the past two years I-40 in Tennessee has been recognized as the best segment of roadway in the nation. That is a major vote of confidence in our transportation network, considering the fact that freight systems in the U.S. transported approximately $15 billion in goods in 2005, nearly 80 percent of which moved by trucks on the roads.
