Mark Green for CongressFranklin, TN – Dr. Mark Green announced the grand opening of his Franklin campaign office will be Saturday, January 27th.

To celebrate the opening, Dr. Green and his wife Camie will host an open house for the community that evening and will be serving Senator Green’s chili recipe.

“Having spent a lot of time in Williamson County over the years, Camie and I have many friends here and love this community. I’m excited to have our campaign headquarters here in Franklin,” Green remarked.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan to help lead regional Mayors Caucus

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan was elected co-vice chair of the Middle Tennessee Mayors Caucus as the regional partnership of mayors and county executives met this week to choose officers and endorse state action on transportation funding.

The caucus also elected Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson as its new chairman and Metro Nashville Mayor Megan Barry as a co-vice chair.  Anderson steps into the position held by Franklin Mayor Ken Moore for the past three years.

Middle Tennessee Counties and Cities proclaim May as American Stroke Month

 

American Heart AssociationNashville, TN – All month long, counties and cities around Middle Tennessee are supporting the American Stroke Association’s fight against the No. 4 killer by proclaiming May as American Stroke Month.

Tennessee is in the “stroke belt” of the county, ranking 46th of 50 states in stroke mortality and near the very bottom for high blood pressure, a major risk factor for stroke.
