Nashville, TN – Franklin Barreto homered and Dustin Fowler added three hits as the Nashville Sounds topped the Round Rock Express, 8-4, Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park to extend their winning streak to 15 games. The 15-game streak matches a franchise record set during the 1999 season.
Nashville’s winning streak started on July 29th in Salt Lake City with a 9-5 win over the Bees. They swept their last homestand – a seven-game stretch against Fresno and Sacramento – and swept Colorado Springs on the road before returning home. The Sounds have outscored their opponents 89-48 during the 15-game stretch.
Salt Lake City, UT- The Nashville Sounds (40-40) could not overcome a poor start in a 5-1 loss to the Salt Lake City Bees (32-48) on Tuesday afternoon at Smith’s Ballpark. The defeat dropped Nashville to an 8-16 mark in its last 24 road games.
The Bees tagged Sounds starter Johnnie Lowe (0-3) for four runs in the top of the 1st, providing all the offense they would need to pick up a win. Lowe lasted just 2/3 of an inning, taking the loss after allowing four earned runs on four hits and two walks.

Right-hander Taylor Jungmann (3-4) turned in his best outing in his past four starts, picking up the victory with a quality start for Nashville. He held the Bees to two runs on four hits over six frames of work.
Catcher Matt Pagnozzi homered and drove in three runs while Pete Orr went 3-for-4 and Caleb Gindl also plated three to lead the Sounds’ offensive effort.

Salt Lake City, UT – The Nashville Sounds (39-39) were on the losing end of a 4-1 tilt against the Salt Lake Bees on Sunday afternoon at Smith’s Ballpark.
Tied 1-1 in the 5th inning, Salt Lake pulled ahead by plating a pair of runs off of Sounds reliever Arcenio Leon (0-2). J.B. Shuck hit a double off the outfield wall before moving to third and scoring on a pair of Leon wild pitches.
Right fielder Brennan Boesch followed with a single through the infield to score Tommy Field, who reached base on balls.
Nashville Starter Johnny Hellweg Logs Six Shutout Innings For Eighth Victory
Metairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds topped the New Orleans Zephyrs Saturday night at Zephyr Field by a 8-5 margin, guided by Johnny Hellweg’s impressive return start and offensive fireworks from Robinzon Diaz.
Hellweg (8-4) made his first start for Nashville since June 22 a good one, logging six innings of shutout baseball for his eighth quality start of the season. The 6-foot-9 hurler limited the Z’s to two hits on a team season-high 108 pitches, walking four and striking out six.
Season Opener Slated For April 4th At Greer Stadium
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced their 2013 playing schedule today and will host 72 games at Greer Stadium during their 36th season of competition.
The Sounds will open and close the campaign at home, kicking off the Pacific Coast League season on Thursday, April 4th when they take the field at Greer against the New Orleans Zephyrs and concluding the year with a four-game series against the division-rival Iowa Cubs that culminates on Labor Day.
Home Opener Slated For April 13th At Greer Stadium
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced their 2012 playing schedule and will host 72 games at Greer Stadium during their 35th season of competition.
The Sounds open the year with an eight-game road trip and kick off the Pacific Coast League season on Thursday, April 5th at New Orleans. Nashville returns to Music City to host its 2012 home opener on Friday, April 13th against New Orleans.
The Sounds conclude the regular season with an eight-game homestand at Greer Stadium, culminating in a Labor Day finale on September 3rd against the cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds.
Team Will Make Donations To Nashville Rescue Mission, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds are proud to host a pair of events to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
On Saturday, August 14th, a silent auction will be held before and during the team’s 6:35pm game against the Salt Lake City Bees, with proceeds from the event going to Nashville Rescue Mission.
Hosted by the wives of Nashville Sounds players, the auction will feature memorabilia from current and past Sounds, as well as Major League players and coaches. A display table, manned by the players’ wives, will be set up on the first-base concourse across from the Sounds’ pro shop.
