Titans Hold on for 27-24 Win Over Saints in Preseason Finale

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN — Chris Johnson wore a visor and T-shirt and stayed busy as Tennessee’s top cheerleader.

Drew Brees and Reggie Bush limited their dress rehearsal to putting on their New Orleans’ uniforms and pregame warmup before watching from the sideline all night long.

Alvin Pearman’s 5-yard touchdown with 3:18 left helped the Titans beat the Saints 27-24 on Thursday night in the preseason finale where both teams thought of safety first for their key stars.

Vince Young tossed a TD, LeGarrette Blount also ran for a score and Rob Bironas kicked two field goals for Tennessee (2-2).

New Orleans looked ahead to the NFL’s regular-season opener on September 9th when the defending Super Bowl champs host the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre. The Titans final training camp open to the public is Thursday

 

Tennessee TitansThe Tennessee Titans final training camp open to the public is tomorrow, Thursday, at 3:30pm. The camp is being held at the Baptist Sports Park. This will be your last chance to see the Titans training this year. All remaining practices will be closed to the public.

Titans travel to Carolina to face the Panthers

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN — The Tennessee Titans (1-1) play their third preseason game this week, traveling to Carolina to play the Panthers (0-2). Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium (capacity 73,504) is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Saturday, August 28th.

The Titans are challenged with a short work week, having just five days between their Monday night victory over the Arizona Cardinals and their rendezvous in Charlotte on Saturday night. On the Tuesday following the contest (August 31st), the Titans will be required to make their initial roster cuts, trimming the team from 80 players to 75.
