Mondeka Douei named Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Soldier of the Quarter

 

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) named Spc. Mondeka Douei Soldier of the Quarter, hospital leaders announced July, 30th, 2019.

Douei, a native of the African nation Ivory Coast, is a behavioral health specialist and has served in the Army for nearly two years. He was selected after competing with 14 other candidates from the hospital and outlying medical homes.

The Soldier of the Quarter Board was a rigorous two-day competition run by hospital NCOs.

Competition breeds excellence in Fort Campbell Strike Fear Soldiers

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY –  Two Soldiers were named Soldier and noncommissioned officer of the quarter for the 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade, August 13th, after completing a week long competition known as Strike Fear Week on Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Sgt. Lonnie Francis, a Soldier with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Bn. “Strike Fear,” took home the title NCO of the quarter while Spc. Triston Figueroa, also a Soldier with HHB, won Soldier of the quarter.

Fort Campbell Currahees compete for Soldier, Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter

Khowst Province, Afghanistan – Select Soldiers with the 4th Brigade Combat Team “Currahee”, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), participated in the Soldier, Non-commissioned Officer of the quarter board at Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan.

“We still have to sharpen our skills, we can’t just say ‘I’m good at what I do’,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Michael A. Grinston, command sergeant major of the 4th BCT, 101st  Abn. Div., and president of the board for the Soldier and NCO of the Quarter. “Boards, and the way we set this one up, are a way to sharpen our skills both mentally and physically.”

Fort Campbell 3rd Brigade Combat Team Soldiers in competition for top spot

Khowst Province, Afghanistan – The sun begins to rise on the mountains of Khowst province as Soldiers assigned to different units within 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), ready their gear and each other while being briefed on the intense upcoming events for the day.

Nineteen Soldiers competed in the brigade noncommissioned officer and Soldier of the quarter competition on Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan, February 15th.

James Craig, an air defense battle management system operator assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), uses a rope to pull himself over a large dirt wall in the obstacle course portion of the brigade noncommissioned officer and Soldier of the quarter competition on Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan, Feb. 15, 2013.
