Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) has announced procedures designed to minimize delays and improve safety for those attending the City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd, 2021 at Liberty Park.

The event includes a free concert, activities such as sack races and limbo contests, and food and drink will be available for purchase from local vendors. The evening will conclude with the City’s fireworks show at 9:00pm and the announcement of the 2021 Riverfest headliner.

Clarksville-Montgomery County remains under a Flood Advisory

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that river and creeks will remain elevated for the next few days due to heavy rainfall and runoff. This could impact some low-lying areas and low water crossings.

Elevated water levels are expected to last until Wednesday.

The Flood Advisory is extended for the Cumberland River at Clarksville until Monday morning.

The Cumberland River at Clarksville is currently at 43.6 feet as of Thursday afternoon. Flood stage is 46 feet.
