Montgomery County Emergency Service Personal head to East Tennessee to assist in Wildfires

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services (MCEMS) and Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service have answered the call for assistance for the wildfires in East Tennessee.

Currently five MCEMS personnel and 14 volunteer fire personnel are in route to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area to provide assistance to the emergency personnel already on the scene.

Montgomery County recognized Volunteer Fire Fighters the annual Volunteer Fire Service Awards Dinner

 

Montgomery County, TNMontgomery County TennesseeThe annual Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service Awards Dinner was held Thursday, November 13th at the William O. Beach Civic Hall.

Louie Leftwich was given the high honor of being selected as the Overall Firefighter of the Year for 2014. Louie has been a volunteer firefighter since 1987 with the Cunningham Volunteer Fire Service.

Montgomery County ISO Town Hall meetings going on this week

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government along with the Montgomery County Fire Service has recently announced a lowered ISO (Insurance Safety Office) rating that affects county residents living within five (5) road miles of a Volunteer Fire Station.

For residents wanting more information on the new ISO rating, Montgomery County Emergency Management will host town hall meetings in each district.

Montgomery County adds Insurance Safety Office Web Application to County Website

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government in conjunction with the Montgomery County Fire Service has recently announced a lowered ISO (Insurance Safety Office) rating that affects county residents living within five (5) road miles of a Volunteer Fire Station.

To assist residents in determining if their property falls within that distance requirement, Montgomery County partnered with the Austin Peay GIS Office to create a web mapping application.

Man Displaced from home in Webb Road Fire

 

Clarksville, TN – In the midst of all the calls about downed trees and power lines on May 26th an urgent call came into the Clarksville-Montgomery County E911 offices about a fire on Webb Road. Emergency crews from the St Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Service were quickly dispatched.

When the first firefighters arrived on scene they found a house trailer and two vehicles parked nearby burning with flames perilously close to a large natural gas tank.
