Schwartz Opportunity Support Fund seeks donations to help troops keep in touch


Louisville, KY – Schwartz Opportunity Support Fund’s Calling Card‐A‐Thon enables our soldiers to stay in touch with their loved ones while serving our Country. For the third year the Schwartz Opportunity Support (S.O.S.) Fund has  “adopted” a group of young men and women (and their families) who are currently serving our country in Afghanistan. This year, they have proudly “adopted” the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell who deployed to Afghanistan April, 2010 joining the other units of the 101st which started deploying January 2010.

They are currently collecting donations to purchase discounted calling cards, allowing these soldiers to stay in touch with their families. From Memorial Day to Independence Day (5/28 – 7/4) they will be accepting donations of any amount.  Because S.O.S. Fund is the non-profit arm of Schwartz Insurance Group, 100% of donations collected go directly to support the soldiers of the 101st. «Read the rest of this article»
