The 2018 Report of Cash Shortages in Tennessee’s 95 county governments updates the amounts of cash shortages and thefts as of June 30th, 2018. The report details money that went missing during the 2018 fiscal year, as well as previous fiscal years.

Tennessee State Comptroller’s Report shows no findings for Montgomery County Government Offices

TBI Charge Two Men with Theft from Assisted Living Center, Facility Residents

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and investigators with the Davidson County District Attorney General’s Office, with assistance from investigators from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, has resulted in the arrest of two Nashville men on theft charges stemming from their management of an assisted living center.

At the request of 20th District Attorney General Glenn Funk, in October 2017, TBI Special Agents joined investigators with the DA’s office in investigating allegations of misspending at the Autumn Hills Assisted Living Center.

Tennessee Comptroller’s Office Updates Tennessee’s Teen Pregnancy Map

 

Tennessee Comptroller of the TreasuryNashville, TN – The Comptroller’s Offices of Research and Education Accountability (OREA) has updated its online map illustrating teen pregnancy rates in Tennessee.

The map is color-coded to reflect which counties have a pregnancy rate exceeding 19.5 per 1,000 females, ages 15-17. The map is based on the most current (2015) data published by the Tennessee Department of Health.

U.S. President Donald Trump visits Tennessee

Tennessee State Representative - District 68Nashville, TN – On Wednesday, March 15th, U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Nashville to honor President Andrew Jackson at his tomb, on his 250th birthday. The President addressed members of the Tennessee General Assembly at the Hermitage before making his way back to Nashville to speak before thousands of supporters.

The Municipal Auditorium was quickly filled to capacity; 30,000 supporters were unable to enter the venue after hours of waiting. The line at the auditorium developed early in the morning, and by the late afternoon, the line stretched the length of James Robertson Parkway, around the Capitol building, and back down Charlotte Street.

TBI arrests Former Volunteer Fire Department Treasurer in Theft Case

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of an Ashland City man accused of stealing from the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department.

At the request of 23rd District Attorney General Ray Crouch, on May 27th, 2015, TBI Special Agents began investigating Jon Micheal Pace following a theft complaint. At that time, Pace served as Treasurer for the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department in Cheatham County.

TBI indict Nashville Area Pastor, Associate in Tennessee Grant Money Theft Case

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained indictments for a Nashville area pastor and his associate, accused of securing state grant money for an addiction treatment program that did not exist.

At the request of 20th District Attorney Glenn Funk, and with the assistance of the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, TBI Agents began investigating Clinton Lewis and Andre Trice on June 15th, 2015.
