Fort Campbell receives visit from U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Staff Office

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – A huge part of the military is community relations, in a showing of how well the military can coexist with the local community, Fort Campbell opened its doors to the staff office of Mr. Cochran to see a glimpse of what it’s like to be a Soldier of the 101st Airborne Division.

The day started with the staff members meeting with Brig. Gen. K. Todd Royar, acting commander of the 101st and Fort Campbell at McAuliffe Hall Division’s Headquarters. It was here they took a small tour of McAuliffe Hall which included the Medal of Honor Rotunda, where all Medal of Honor recipients’ names are displayed, and watched a short video which highlighted the Divisions 75 year legacy.

Three Clarksville Men Plead Guilty to Home Invasion Death of Raymond Caston

 

U.S. Attorney's Office - Middle district of TennesseeNashville, TN – Cornell Oliver, 23, and Blake Wright, 25, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, pleaded guilty today for their role in the murder of Raymond Caston, during a home-invasion robbery on October 27th, 2010, announced David Rivera, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee and Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division.

Jerry Dinkins, 26, also from Clarksville, previously pleaded guilty on June 26th, 2015, for his involvement in the crime. All were charged in a second superseding indictment on April 25th, 2014. «Read the rest of this article»

U.S. Department of Justice sentences Clarksville Man to Life in Prison in Large Scale Drug Distribution Conspiracy

 

U.S. Department of JusticeNashville, TN – Demetrius Duncan, aka Whirley, 34, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was sentenced today to life in prison for his role in a large cocaine distribution conspiracy, announced David Rivera, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.  There is no parole from federal sentences.

Duncan, along with Chris Young, aka Soulja C and Alto Parnell, aka AP, were indicted in January 2011 and convicted at a jury trial on August 23rd, 2013, of participating in a lengthy conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 280 grams or more of crack cocaine.

Fort Campbell to receive visit from Assistant U.S. Attorney General Thomas Perez

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Thomas E. Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division, will discuss the enforcement of laws aimed at protecting the rights of servicemembers in the housing, lending, disability, voting and employment contexts, including recent settlements under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) at Fort Campbell, May 17th, 2012.
