APSU moves up in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges list

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2015 rankings were released Tuesday, September 9th, and Austin Peay State University ranked 27th in the Top Public Schools, Regional Universities (South) category.

APSU placed 62nd overall in the Regional Universities (South) category, up seven spots from last year.

Tennessee Veterans Homes among the best in U.S. News and World Report rankings

 

Murfreesboro and Knoxville recognized Nationally

Tennessee Department of Veterans AffairsNashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder joins the Tennessee State Veterans Homes (TSVH) Board in celebrating the announcement from U.S. News & World Report 2014 which names the Tennessee State Veterans Homes in Knoxville and Murfreesboro among the best in the country.

U.S. News and World Report rated more than 16,000 nursing homes using data research on nursing home safety, health inspection and staffing.

APSU moves up 18 spots on Best Colleges list

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2014 rankings were released September 10th, and Austin Peay State University jumped an astounding 18 spots this year, placing 69th in the Regional University South rankings.

That category includes schools from the southeastern United States that offer a full range of undergraduate programs, with some master’s programs but few doctoral programs. Last year, APSU ranked 87th in that category. «Read the rest of this article»

Belmont University to join the Ohio Valley Conference

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – The Ohio Valley Conference announced on Friday that Belmont University has been admitted to the Conference and will become the league’s 12th member. The move was approved by the OVC Board of Presidents.

Belmont will officially become a member of the OVC on July 1st, 2012 and its athletic teams will begin competing in the Conference in the 2012-13 season.
