APSU Football - Austin Peay State UniversityDallas, TX – Two Austin Peay State University (APSU) football players are part of the 2016 National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, recognizing college football players from all divisions who maintain a 3.2 GPA or better.

Linebacker Adam Noble and punter Evan Toby were among the record 868 players honored as the Society celebrates its 10th year.

Austin Peay State University Provost Lecture Series to feature APSU Agriculture professor Rodney Mills on Thursday, January 30th

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University animal science professor will present the next session of the Provost Lecture Series this week at APSU.

Dr. Rodney Mills, assistant professor of animal science, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, January 30th, in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. The title of his lecture is “Development of a Sustainable Beef Production System: A Case Study of the APSU Farm and Environmental Education Center.”

Fort Campbell, KY – Brazilian Army Maj. Gen. Carlos Cesar Araujo Lima, commander of the 12th Air Assault Brigade in Cacapava-Sao Paulo, visited Fort Campbell’s Hangar 10, October 13th, where the Screamin’ Eagle’s helicopters were on display for a walk-through with Araujo Lima. Greeting the commander was Strike’s Sgt. Felipe Pereira, who has a pending Distinguished Service Cross and was born and raised in South America’s largest country.

“The Brazilian army is the greatest fighting force in South America and what a great honor meeting one of the leaders of that fighting force,” said Sgt. Felipe Pereira, a squad leader with Co. A, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). “Today was a proud day for me.”
