Clarksville Students Seek Fun in the Lab Instead of Fun in the Sun

Intellectually gifted teens are always on the lookout for extra challenges.

Nashville State Community CollegeNashville, TN – As most teenagers head to the pool for summer break, two of Nashville State Community College’s youngest students, Hannah Motes, age 15, and Sebastian Motes, age 13, are getting ready to head off to a summer full of academic camps following their completion of more than 30 college credits.

These academically talented dual-enrollment students recently made the news by finishing their first year at Nashville State Community College (NSCC). Hannah began attending NSCC in June 2015 at the age of 14. To date, she has completed 38 college credits, with a cumulative college GPA of 3.45.

APSU moves Seth Billings to associate head athletic trainer, Nate Maresh and Makenzi Alsip added to training department

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TNSeth Billings, who has served as an Austin Peay State University athletic trainer since 2007, has been named associate head athletic trainer.

In addition, APSU head athletic trainer Joni Johnson also has announced the recent hires of Nate Maresh and Makenzi Alsip as certified assistant athletic trainers.

APSU Lady Govs Soccer set to close out preseason with pair of home matches

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team is scheduled to play two home exhibition matches to close out its preseason schedule.

The Lady Govs host Missouri Valley Conference foe Evansville in a 7:00pm, August 14th tilt before facing off against NAIA foe Freed-Hardeman at 7:00pm, on August 16th. Both matches will take place at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.
