APSU Red Coat Society to induct President Tim Hall, Jack B. Turner Saturday

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall and local businessman Jack B. Turner will be inducted into the Red Coat Society, in between games of the Lady Govs-Governors 5:15pm, Saturday doubleheader with Eastern Kentucky.

The Red Coat Society, now in its 11th year, serves as a Hall of Fame of service for the Governors Club, APSU’s Athletics booster club.

Go Commando Donates Over $50,000 To Charitable Organizations

 

Go Commando Half Marathon and 5kClarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k, powered by CDE Lightband, announced Tuesday they would donate over $50,000 to local non-profits and community organizations.

The largest recipients, the Clarksville Area YMCA and the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation, were both on hand to accept donations of $15,000 each. Christy Batts, Broadband Division Manager for the Clarksville Department of Electricity, was also in attendance to present the checks to the recipients.

Go Commando Half Marathon and 5kClarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k presented by CDE Lightband announced Thursday they would donate $40,000 to local non-profits and community organizations. The largest recipients, Clarksville Area YMCA and Fort Campbell Historical Foundation were on hand to accept the donations.

Go Commando Half Marathon and 5kClarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k presented by CDE Lightband announced Tuesday they would donate $35,000 to local non-profits and community organizations. The largest recipients, Clarksville Area YMCA and Fort Campbell Historical Foundation were on hand to accept the donations.

“The intention of the Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k will always be to give back to the community; this money emphasizes that mission in a big way,” Channel Lemon, one of the Race Directors, stated.

Fort Campbell held dedication for the new Col. Robert E. Jones Training Support Center

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – A ribbon-cutting ceremony was be held at Fort Campbell, yesterday for a new 80,000 square-foot Training Support Center that has been dedicated in honor of Col. Robert E. Jones, U.S. Army (Ret.)  whose name will grace the facility.

The Col. Robert E. Jones Training Support Center will be one of 77 Army-wide facilities that provides Soldiers and leaders with modern mock-ups, devices, simulations and equipment, which will support the training needs and operations of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and other Fort Campbell units.
