Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library will be offering two new electronic resources for library card holders in Montgomery County – Freegal Music and Universal Class – available immediately on the library website: — under the E-Resources tab.

Freegal Music, which is short for Free and Legal, is a resource that expands the collection of music available to C-MCPL library card holders by over 3 million songs. Each cardholder in good standing may download up to three MP3 files per week at no charge. Tennessee Department of Education says 2013 TCAP Results Show Sustained Growth among Tennessee Students


Tennessee Department of EducationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Education announced that students across the state performed better on the 2013 Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) than the previous year, marking three consecutive years of continued improvement.

For the first time since the state implemented more rigorous standards in 2009, more than half of students in grades 3-8 are on grade level in every TCAP Achievement subject, reaching higher levels of proficiency in 2013 on 22 of 24 tested subjects than in 2012.

He really is down with it. Steltzner is the NASA engineer who helped take the country’s cool new Curiosity rover to the surface of Mars with moves – and flair – even Evel Knievel would envy.
