Nashville Sounds defeat Oklahoma City Dodgers, 7-5

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds take down the Oklahoma City Dodgers 7-5 at First Tennessee Park Thursday night. Nick Solak hit his fourth home run of the season and his 21st in Triple-A this season.

It was an early deficit for Nashville in the first inning when Oklahoma City put up three runs in the top half. Connor Joe doubled down the left field line to score Gavin Lux from first base. Keibert Ruiz hit a single to score Joe. DJ Peters scored on a Kyle Garlick sacrifice fly to score the third run of the inning.

Oklahoma City Dodgers out hit Nashville Sounds

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Oklahoma City Dodgers offense pounds Nashville Sounds Wednesday night in 10-6 loss at First Tennessee Park.

One night after scoring 16 runs on 19 hits, Oklahoma City put up 10 runs on 12 hits. They scored two in the first, three in the sixth and notched a five-spot in the seventh.

Edwin Rios started the scoring for the Dodgers with a two-run blast off Nashville starter Wes Benjamin in the first inning. Benjamin settled in and didn’t allow any more runs until the sixth.

Nashville Sounds hold off Oklahoma City Dodgers for 6-4 Win

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds held the lead for the whole game in 6-4 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park. Pacific Coast League All-Star Seth Maness earned his fifth win of the season in the contest.

Two runs were scored by Nashville in the first inning, with one run scoring on an error. With the bases loaded, Angelo Mora overthrew second base after fielding a groundball. That scored Zack Granite and Scott Heineman to put the Sounds up 2-0.

Nashville Sounds fall at First Tennessee Park to Oklahoma City Dodgers, 10-7

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds managed to rally and score three runs in the  bottom of the ninth but it wasn’t enough to overtake the Oklahoma City Dodgers in 10-7 loss at First Tennessee Park Saturday night.

The back-and-forth tilt was even at the start of the eighth. Trouble started when three of the first four batters reached for Oklahoma City against Nashville reliever Miguel Del Pozo. With the bases loaded and one out, Del Pozo balked to give the Dodgers a 6-5 lead.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Close games have been the calling cards when the Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City Dodgers get together and Friday night was no different as the Oklahoma City Dodgers edged the Nashville Sounds 5-4 in 10 innings. 9,868 fans watched the drama unfold at First Tennessee Park. The last eight games between the Sounds and Dodgers have been decided by one run.

After the Dodgers posted three runs in the eighth inning, the Sounds used a three-run rally of their own in the ninth inning to push the game to extras.
