Sounds Drop Pitching Duel To Albuquerque, 3-2

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds lost a 3-2 pitching duel to the Albuquerque Isotopes, as two Pacific Coast League All-Star starting pitchers tossed fine pitching performances in front of more than 8,000 fans at Greer Stadium on Saturday night.

Albuquerque All-Star and former Sound Dana Eveland (9-5) picked up a victory after surrendering just one run on three hits in seven innings of work.

Nashville All-Star Sam Narron (4-4) matched with a quality start of his own but came away with a tough loss. The left-hander gave up two runs on seven hits in six innings of work, tossing a season-high 119 pitches.

Nashville’s Win Streak Snapped At Four

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Albuquerque Isotopes belted a pair of homers and plated five runs in the top of the thirteenth inning to post an 8-4 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Saturday evening at Greer Stadium in the completion of Friday night’s game that was suspended early Saturday morning.

All five runs came against Sounds right-hander Frankie De La Cruz (3-6), who took the loss for Nashville (43-50).

Sounds, Isotopes Suspended Friday Due To PCL Curfew Rule

 

Teams Knotted At 3-3 After 11 Innings, Will Complete Game On Saturday

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Friday night’s Pacific Coast League game between the Nashville Sounds and Albuquerque Isotopes was suspended at 12:59am at the conclusion of the eleventh inning with the score tied at 3-3 due to the enforcement of the PCL’s curfew rule.

The Sounds held a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning before Albuquerque scored a pair of late runs to force extra frames. The game didn’t start until 9:18pm due to a two-hour-plus rain delay.

Walkoff Blast Drops Sounds In Extras In Albuquerque, 7-6

 

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – Trayvon Robinson hit a walkoff 10th inning home run to lift the Albuquerque Isotopes to 7-6 win over the Nashville Sounds on Friday evening at Isotopes Park.

Robinson’s 13th home run was his only hit of the game, as the outfielder blasted Sean Green’s (0-1) second pitch of the inning over the wall in centerfield to end the game.

Moving to 0-4 in extra-inning play this season, Nashville (27-33) never led game, but tied the contest three separate times.

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – Caleb Gindl belted two homers and drove in five runs to lead the red-hot Nashville Sounds to a 14-1 thumping of the Albuquerque Isotopes on Thursday evening at Isotopes Park in the opener of a four-game series.

The win was the sixth in the last seven games for Nashville (27-32). During the five games on their current road trip, the Sounds have outscored the opposition, 50-9.

Nashville SoundsMetairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds lost, 5-4, to the New Orleans Zephyrs on Tuesday afternoon at Zephyr Field in the finale of a four-game set. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Nashville, who took the first three games of the four-game series.

The one-run loss for Nashville (26-32) was the club’s PCL-leading 16th of the season, which has accounted for half of the club’s total defeats.
