Rain doesn’t dampen spirits at 21st Annual APSU Governors Bass Tournament

APSU Governors Bass TournamentBuchanan, TN – The 21st annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament was held in the rain Saturday, May 16th on Kentucky Lake. Boats launched from Paris Landing State Park at 6:00am. There were 212 boats registered for the event and 200 competed for the $12,000 in prize money.

The weather was clear some but mainly held to a steady rain for most of the day with periods of light drizzle. Despite the conditions, the fishermen were in high spirits at the start of the event.

TWRA announces Youth Quail Hunt schedule for February 28th in Lynnville

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – A quail hunt for youth ages 10-16 has been scheduled for Saturday, February 28th near the Giles County community of Lynnville. The hunt is sponsored by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Music City Quail Forever, and the Young Sportsman Foundation.

Participants must be ages 10-16, hunter safety certified, and have the appropriate licenses. If a participant does not have an adult to accompany her/him, mentors will be available to take participants on the hunt.
