Nashville Sounds shutout by Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-0

 

Nashville SoundsOmaha, NE – The Nashville Sounds struggled to get their offense going in their series opener against the Omaha Storm Chasers. Arnaldo Hernandez held Nashville to just one hit, as the Storm Chasers shut out the Sounds 5-0.

That one hit came in the first inning, when Andy Ibanez hit a double. But Hernandez pitched masterfully, retiring the next 11 batters. Hernandez would walk Jett Bandy in the fifth inning before retiring the rest of the batters he faced.

Omaha scored enough to win the game in the first inning. They scored one run when Rudy Martin launched a solo home run to lead off the game for the Storm Chasers.

Nashville Sounds come from behind to beat Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-3

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds use a seventh inning three run rally to beat the Omaha Storm Chasers 5-3 at First Tennessee Park Friday night. The win for Nashville was their eighth over the last nine games.

Trailing 3-2 into the bottom of the seventh, the first six batters reached safely for the Sounds. After back-to-back singles to start the inning by Christian Lopes and Nick Solak, Zack Granite’s base hit to center field evened the game at 3-3.

Omaha elected to intentionally walk Ronald Guzman to load the bases and it came back to hurt when Ofreidy Gomez walked Andy Ibanez to force in the go-ahead run.

Nashville Sounds suffer 9-4 loss to Omaha Storm Chasers at First Tennessee Park

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Omaha Storm Chasers have a five-run third inning to help them beat the Nashville Sounds  9-4  in front of 6,307 fans and 214 four-legged friends Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park. 

Omaha plated a run in the top of the first inning to take an early lead, but Nashville bounced back in the bottom of the second with a pair of runs.

Matt Davidson crushed his ninth home run of the season to open the inning and make it a 1-1 game. Patrick Wisdom followed with a walk, and Jose Trevino chased him around from first with a double to the wall in right field to give the Sounds a 2-1 lead.

Nashville Sounds defeat Omaha Storm Chasers 5-4 at First Tennessee Park

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Nashville Sounds’ Nolan Fontana and Chase d’Arnaud teamed up for a late run to help beat Omaha Storm Chasers 5-4 Monday night at First Tennessee Park.

With the game tied at 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Fontana singled to left-center with one out. It was the third hit of the night for the Nashville second baseman who belted his first homer of the season in the second inning.

Moments later, d’Arnaud rifled a bouncing ball over the head of Omaha third baseman Humberto Arteaga and into the left field corner. It scored Fontana from first base to give the Sounds a 5-4 lead.
