Clarksville Police Department recognized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department was Recognized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and Placed Third in the National Law Enforcement Challenge (Excellence in Traffic Safety)

On October 28th, 2014 at the Highway Safety Awards Breakfast at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference in Orlando, FL, the Clarksville Police Department was recognized by the IACP and placed Third in the National Law Enforcement Challenge (NLEC) in the category of Municipal Departments with 251 or more sworn officers. The award states: “The National Law Enforcement Challenge recognizes excellence in traffic safety and presents this award to your agency for its continued commitment to saving lives.”

Tennessee Highway Patrol comes in Second in 2014 National Law Enforcement Challenge

Tennessee Highway Patrol - THPNashville, TN – Tennessee Highway Patrol Colonel Tracy Trott accepted the second place award for one of the country’s top state police and highway patrol agencies in the 2014 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Challenge at the international organization’s annual conference in Orlando, FL, last week.

Tennessee Highway Patrol to receive Top Honor for Impaired Driving Enforcement, Second in Overall Traffic Safety at National Conference

 

Tennessee Highway Patrol - THPNashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has been recognized among the country’s top state police and highway patrol agencies by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

The THP earned second place in the national organization’s 2012 law enforcement challenge and won the special category award for impaired driving. Clarksville Police Department receives Reaccreditation for the first time ever

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On August 3rd, 2013 in Columbus,  Ohio,  Chief Al Ansley went before a group of CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) Commissioners for a hearing to determine whether the Clarksville Police Department would be awarded Reaccreditation.

After the hearing, Committee  recommended to the full commission that the Clarksville Police Department receive Advanced Accreditation.  Chief Ansley accepted the award that evening.

Clarksville Police Department is Awarded First Place

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentThe Clarksville Police Department received first place in The Tennessee Department of Transportation Governor’s Highway Safety Office’s 6th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge. September 10th. The Police Department was in the 201-500 Officer category. 

“The Law Enforcement Challenge recognizes outstanding performances by law enforcement agencies and officers from across the state,” said Governor Phil Bredesen. “These dedicated public servants work diligently for the good of their communities and deserve this recognition both by the state and nationally.”
