Nashville Sounds falter late in 7-5 loss to San Antonio Missions
Nashville was in charge by a score of 4-2 when San Antonio plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take control. The Missions never trailed the rest of the way. For the fifth consecutive game, the Sounds allowed at least one run in the first inning. Nashville Sounds come out swinging in 12-7 win over Colorado Springs Sky SoxNashville Sounds
Anthony Garcia led the way offensively for the Sounds with five RBI. The right fielder picked up a two-run single in the first, belted a two-run homer in the fourth, and recorded a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The Sounds built a large cushion with an offensive explosion in the first inning. Nashville Sounds fall to Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 8-1Nashville Sounds
Sky Sox catcher Jacob Nottingham set the tone when the launched a three-run homer off Sounds’ starter Eric Jokisch in the bottom of the first inning. The blast came right after a fielding error by Franklin Barreto and a free pass issued by Jokisch. The deficit grew to 4-0 in the second when right fielder Nate Orf singled in Keon Broxton.
