Montgomery Central Lady Indians buried under 11 3s by Greenbrier in 65-28 loss

 

Montgomery Central High SchoolServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Montgomery Central High School’s girls basketball team remained winless on the season after seeing Greenbrier High School knocking down 11 shots from behind the three-point arc, Monday, December 1st at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, as the Lady Indians fell to the Lady Bobcats 65-28.

The foreshadowing of what was to come against the Lady Indians (0-5) started right off the bat, as the first three baskets made by Greenbrier (6-2) on the night came from behind the arc – with Amanda Bennett getting things going, while Kayla Jerrell banged in back-to-back 3s to give the Lady Bobcats an 9-2 lead 4:30 into the game.

Fairview Lady Jackets Sting Montgomery Central Lady Indians 48-36

 

Montgomery Central High SchoolCunningham, TN – An offensive stall in the fourth period let the Fairview Lady Jackets seal the win from the free throw line over the Montgomery Central Lady Indians, 48-36.

Down by only two points, 36-34, after three periods, the Lady Indians offense turned as cold as the weather outside. They shot 0-of -9 from the field and scored only two points from the free throw line in the fourth period.

The Lady Jackets did not shoot much better from the field, making only 1-of-4. However, the got key rebounds and made 10-of-13 free throws in the fourth period to get the double-digit win.

Two big quarters lift Montgomery Central High School Lady Indians past Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars

 

Montgomery Central High SchoolClarksville, TN – Montgomery Central High School’s girls basketball team used huge runs in the first and third quarters, November 21st at Procter Court, to pick up their first win of the season with a 56-30 victory over Clarksville Academy.

The Lady Indians (1-1) opened the game with a 14-0 run over the first 5:19, led by Tori Moore’s six points and Monica Fake’s four.

Moore would lead Montgomery Central with 14 points.

Big first half lifts Northeast Lady Eagles past Montgomery Central Lady Indians 54-37

 

Montgomery Central High SchoolClarksville, TN – Getting out to a 17-point halftime lead, the Northeast High School Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the young season, November 14th at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, with a 54-37 Hall of Fame Game victory over Montgomery Central High School.

Northeast (1-1) would get out of the gates quickly, jumping out to a 9-0 lead over the game’s first 4:48, before Montgomery Central’s MaKayla Flake ended the run with a basket at the 2:31 mark.
