Oklahoma City, OK – Pinch-hitter Brian Dopirak knocked a game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Oklahoma City RedHawks a 4-3 win over the Nashville Sounds on Thursday night at RedHawks Field.
Oklahoma City scored four unanswered runs in the final three innings to take a four-game series sweep from Nashville (9-17), which has now been swept twice in the last three series and dropped 15 of the last 19 games overall.
Anderson Hernandez hit a leadoff single off Justin James (0-2), moved to second on a sacrifice, and came home to score the game-winning run on Dopirak’s double.
Nashville Drops Third Straight Game In Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, OK – Pinch-hitter Drew Locke belted a two-out homer in the bottom of the tenth inning to power the Oklahoma City RedHawks to a 4-3 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Wednesday evening at RedHawks Field.
Facing Sounds reliever Donovan Hand, who had joined the club from Double-A Huntsville earlier in the day, Locke smacked a 1-0 offering over the left field wall for the game-winning blast, his second roundtripper of the season.
Oklahoma City, OK – The Nashville Sounds were handed a 12-4 loss by the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Tuesday Night at RedHawks Field in the second game of a four-game series.
The 12 runs given up were the most that Nashville (9-15) has allowed this season, which has now dropped 13 of the last 17 contests overall.
Oklahoma City jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, as the RedHawks took advantage of Chase Wright’s control. Wright hit a batter and walked four more while the RedHawks scored their first run on a wild pitch from the southpaw. The next four runs came on a Collin DeLome grand slam over the right field wall. The long ball was Delome’s second of the season and the first grand slam given up by the Sounds this season.
Nashville Comes From Behind To Down Albuquerque, Snaps Five-Game Skid
Nashville, TN – First baseman Mat Gamel put an exclamation point on his 5-for-5, five-RBI evening with a go-ahead double in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead the Nashville Sounds to a come-from-behind 7-6 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Saturday evening at Greer Stadium.

Nashville, TN – Nick Gorneault smacked two home runs to propel the Salt Lake Bees over the Nashville Sounds with a 9-4 victory at historic Greer Stadium in the second game of a four-game set.
Dropping the first two games of the series to Salt Lake, the Sounds have now lost 11 of their last 17 games and trail the first-place Iowa Cubs by 6.5 games.
Gorneault went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored in the game, missing the cycle by a triple. Ryan Vogelsong (1-2) tossed a quality start in his first visit to historic Greer Stadium since the 2003 PCL postseason. The veteran right-hander allowed two runs on six hits and four walks with five strikeouts in six innings for the win.
The Bees took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning as former Sound and 2001 PCL All-Star Luis Figueroa and Nick Gorneault cranked consecutive one-out doubles off Sounds starter Chuck Lofgren. Figueroa was a 2001 PCL All-Star for Nashville. Nashville, TN – Salt Lake right-hander Matt Palmer hurled seven scoreless innings to lead the visiting Bees to a 6-2 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Friday evening at historic Greer Stadium in the opener of a four-game series.
Palmer (2-1) lowered his ERA to 0.72 on the year with an impressive start, earning the win after holding the Sounds to three hits while striking out four over his seven frames.
Salt Lake took a 2-0 lead against Nashville starter Sam Narron in the second inning. Mark Trumbo led off with a single before scoring on Paul McAnulty’s RBI double to left. Nick Gorneault later plated the frame’s second run with a sacrifice fly.
The Bees doubled their advantage to 4-0 in the fourth. Trumbo (2-for-4) and McAnulty (3-for-5) led off with consecutive singles to put runners on the corners for top Angels prospect Hank Conger (3-for-5), who ripped an RBI double off the top of the left field wall.
