Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be participating in Operation Dry Water, June 29th-July 1st, 2018. Operation Dry Water is a national weekend of Boating Under the Influence (BUI) awareness and enforcement campaign directed toward reducing alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities.

Operation Dry Water is held the weekend prior to the Independence Day (July 4th) holiday to give BUI enforcement high visibility during the peak boating season. The TWRA is teaming with the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Operation Dry Water was started by the NASBLA in 2009.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – With the recreational boating season in full swing, the Clarksville Police Department is ramping up its enforcement efforts as part of a national crackdown on boating under the influence.

The nationwide awareness and enforcement campaign, Operation Dry Water, is a partnership of the Clarksville Police Department, the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the U.S. Coast Guard with a mission of putting an end to impaired boating.

Operation Dry Water is a national weekend of Boating Under the Influence (BUI) education and enforcement directed toward reducing alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities.

Operation Dry Water is held on the weekend prior to the Independence Day (July 4th) holiday to give BUI enforcement high visibility during the peak boating season. The TWRA is teaming with the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Operation Dry Water is being held for the seventh year after being started by the NASBLA in 2009.
