Kansas City, MO – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team has earned acclaim from the National Association of Basketball Coaches by earning the program’s first Team Academic Excellence honor, given annually to teams that post a 3.0 grade-point average or better during the academic year.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Softball opens an open era this week
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team will open its 33rd season of play this coming weekend, February 9th-11th, as it travels to Statesboro, GA, to participate in the Georgia Southern Eagle Round Robin.
This season-opening weekend will also mark the first games played under new Govs head coach Rodney DeLong, who was named the programs ninth head coach in June 2017 after serving on the coaching staff at Georgia Tech.

Instant Peay Play: Soccer opens APSU’s athletic school year this week
Clarksville, TN – Although the first day of classes for Austin Peay State University is still three weeks away, the Govs will see the first of its fall teams square off versus another NCAA member this Tuesday, August 7th, 2017 as the soccer team hosts Indiana State at Morgan Brothers Field at 6:00pm.
It is the only home preseason exhibition contest for the Govs, after just a week of practice to prepare and condition, with Austin Peay also having a road exhibition match at Western Illinois – in Macomb, IL – on Friday, August 11th.

Five former Clarksville prep baseball standouts heading to NJCAA World Series with Columbia State
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville will be well represented in Grand Junction, Colorado May 24th through 31st, as five former local prep baseball standouts are among the team members of the Columbia State Community College Chargers squad that qualified for the 57th annual Alpine Bank Junior College World Series.
Three of the five prepped at Rossview High School – Austin Atwell, Tyler Stewart and Dylan Stewart – while the other two – Scooter Hightower and Josh Wilson – played at Clarksville High School.
