Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 26th, 2019 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at Walmart Supercenter, 1680 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksville, TN, the Clarksville Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will offer the public its 18th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your pills or patches for disposal to Walmart, 1680, Fort Campbell Boulevard (sites cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps.); the service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – In Consumer Reports’ new supermarket survey, Wegmans, Publix, and Trader Joe’s remain at the top of the Ratings of 68 of stores nationwide.

Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security requests Public’s Assistance with Identity Theft

 

Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland SecurityNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Identity Crimes Unit is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect possibly connected to an identity theft case.

The unknown suspect used stolen credit card information to make four purchases this past Monday. The perpetrator purchased an Apple iPad at Best Buy at the West Nashville shopping center in West Meade, Tennessee at approximately 9:30pm on Monday.

APSU’s 18th annual Governors Bass Tournament just two weeks away

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – The 18th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is less than two weeks from dropping anchor.

The 2012 edition will be held Saturday, May 12th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney was postponed one week due to high waters and flooding that enveloped the area. Despite the delay, the tourney still drew 243 boats.

Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Publix & Fareway Top Consumer Reports Supermarket Ratings

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Consumer Reports subscribers rated Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Publix and Fareway tops among 52 of the nation’s major grocery stores. While most respondents were quite satisfied with their experiences, the survey also revealed even some of the high-rated chains gave plenty of shoppers something to complain about.

One-third of subscribers surveyed said they had given the heave-ho to a nearby grocery store. Forty-three percent changed their grocer in search of lower prices; about 25 percent cited poor selection, long lines, or lousy food; 17 percent blamed employee rudeness; 14 percent, the crowds. «Read the rest of this article»
