Oklahoma City Dodgers beat Nashville Sounds 7-3 at First Tennessee Park
In a battle of first place teams in the PCL’s American Conference, Oklahoma City grabbed game one of the four-game series thanks to scoring in five different innings. The trouble started right away for Nashville’s Angel Castro. Micah Johnson opened the game with a double to the left field wall against the Sounds’ starter. Ninth Inning Rally falls short as Nashville Sounds lose to Oklahoma City Dodgers 4-3
The Sounds started the ninth inning down 4-2 and attempted a ninth inning rally to take game four of the five-game series from the Dodgers. Joey Wendle led off the ninth with a single to center to start the inning. Rangel Ravelo then followed with a single of his own and the tying run was aboard for the Sounds. Nashville Sounds win one, lose one at Oklahoma City Dodgers
Four relievers combined to limit Oklahoma City to just one run on four hits in the game two win. Eduard Santos made a spot start and worked three innings before R.J. Alvarez, Andrew Triggs and Patrick Schuster finished the job. O’Koyea Dickson’s solo homer in the second got the Dodgers on the board first, but the lead didn’t last long.
