Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County
Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County will offer a discounted rabies vaccine drive-thru clinic on Thursday, March 28th from 10:00am-1:00pm as part of the Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Association’s March-designated Pet Health Month.
The drive-thru clinic will be located at the Humane Society parking lot, 940 Tennessee Avenue, behind Arby’s on Riverside Drive.
Payment will be collected during the clinic. Cash or debit/credit is accepted (except Care Credit). Dogs will remain in cars with their owners. Cats must be in carriers.
If you are unable to attend the clinic, there are over a dozen full service veterinary clinics throughout Montgomery County that will be offering their own rabies discounts for the remainder of the month of March. Pet owners are encouraged to call their veterinary clinic of choice for more information.
Tennessee state law requires that dogs and cats receive rabies vaccinations at 3 months of age and every year thereafter (or every 3 years as provided by some manufacturers). The Humane Society offers the 1-year vaccination and encourages pet owners to check with their regular veterinarian regarding 3-year rabies options if interested.
The Humane Society also offers low-cost spay-neuter surgeries at its location by appointment only. All pet owners are eligible regardless of residence or income. Limited services like vaccinations, heartworm test, FeLV/FIV tests, deworming, and microchipping are also available at low cost but at the time of surgery only.
