Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Obituary: A Celebration of Life for Ida Hill, 93, of Gleason, Tennessee, will be held Friday, November 6th, 2026, at 1:00pm at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm and continue until the time of the service.
Ida was born May 26th, 1933, in San Bernardino, California, to William and Lucy Fuerhardt. She was a longtime member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and later attended Tumbling Creek Baptist Church.
Throughout her life, Ida enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and other handwork. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and cherished the memories they made together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years, Samuel Hill, Sr.; her sons, Leonard Hill and James Hill; and her siblings, Glen Wilson, James Fuerhardt, Woodrow Fuerhardt, William Fuerhardt, and Gladys Daniels.
Ida’s memory will be cherished by her children, Nancy Taylor, Susan Franks, Katherine (Terry) Nix, and Samuel Hill, Jr.; her 13 grandchildren; and her 14 great-grandchildren.
