Clarksville, TN – Tonight, January 14th, 2016 at 7:44pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shots fired call at a residence on the 600 block of 9th Street.
An adult male had non-life-threatening injuries due to the shooting. He was transported to a local medical facility. The two suspects, wearing all black, are unknown. This is an ongoing investigation.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed a section of Carpenter Street between 9th Street and Ford Street for water main repairs.
The work is anticipated to be finished by approximately 1:00pm.
Clarksville, TN – On sunny afternoons, the electric meter attached to the Austin Peay State University Hemlock Semiconductor Building won’t be breaking any speed records.
That’s because, in addition to the solar panels on the building’s roof, a new solar parking canopy in the neighboring 9th Street parking lot will feed even more of the sun’s energy into the electrical system, keeping utility costs down.

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, September 5th 2013 at 9:34am, Officer S. Holman responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of College Street and 9th Street.
The driver of the Cheverolet Tahoe, Joseph Denver Hines, stated that he was traveling north on College Street, when the driver of the Mercury Grand Marquis, Edwin S. Harris, turned left in front of him towards 9th Street. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville, TN – On April 13th, 2012, around 7:00am, officers responded to a burglary in progress at a 9th Street residence. The 52 year old man, who is visually impaired, fled out the front door of his residence to a neighbor’s to call 911, after he heard someone trying to break into his house through the back door.
While calling 911, the victim and neighbor both heard a loud noise coming from the back of the residence.
Clarksville, TN – Around 1:15am this morning, officers responded to a call about a van being inside of a church. When officers arrived on scene, they found a Ford Astro van lodged inside one of the walls of the Galilean Church, 130 South 10th Street.
The driver was still inside of the vehicle when officers arrived, obviously intoxicated, and had to be physically removed from the vehicle. Herbert Earl Minor’s had driven the vehicle off the roadway near 9th Street and Franklin Street, drove over three curbs, and then ran the vehicle into the inside of the Galilean Church.

Clarksville, TN – Gas and Water construction crews will close all lanes of College Street on Thursday evening at 7:00pm to 4:00am on Friday from 8th Street to 9th Street for water service line replacement work.
Motorists will be detoured to Marion Street and 9th Street.

Clarksville, TN – A Gas and Water construction crew will close College Street from 7th Street to 8th Street tomorrow evening starting at 7:00pm to replace water service lines. Traffic will be detoured to Main Street and 9th Street. Work is expected to be complete and the road reopened at 4:00am Thursday morning.
Motorists should approach the work site with caution.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a kidnapping that happened on 6-28-11 at 10:50 pm, at College Street and 9th Street. The victim, a female in her 20s was in the left lane of College Street heading toward town and stopped at 9th street for the red-light.
The victim was driving a gray 2 door Kia Forte with the windows rolled down and the doors locked. The suspect entered the car through the window with what appeared to be a black gun at the time. After a certain period of time, the victim believed it was a flashlight. «Read the rest of this article»
