Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – The amounts drivers pay for their car insurance premiums are based on confounding algorithms that increasingly have more to do with socioeconomic factors than driving habits, according to extensive research conducted by Consumer Reports.

The organization, w­hich believes that knowledge about the going rate of any product or service is a fundamental consumer right, has released the findings of a two-year, in-depth car insurance investigation. Clarksville’s Customs House Museum to host Alvin York exhibit

 

The Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – The Crouch Gallery of the Customs House Museum has taken on a military appearance this month with the exhibit “In the Footsteps of Alvin York”. This show tells the life story of the man from Pall Mall, Tennessee, in Fentress County, who became one of the most decorated American soldiers in World War I.

On October 8th, 1918, Cpl. (later Sgt.) York led seven soldiers against a much larger German force in the Argonne Forest near the small town of Chatel Chehery, France.
