Austin Peay State University (APSU)’s ROTC program is celebrating with a week of events demonstrating its cadets’ commitment to the Army Values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage to commemorate the program’s centennial anniversary.

APSU Provost Lecture Series presents English professor Daniel Shea, October 31st

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University English professor will present the next session of the Provost Lecture Series this week at APSU.

Dr. Daniel Shea, APSU associate professor of English, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 31st, in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. He will discuss his paper, “Time Travel by Bicycle: The Country, the City, and the Cyclist in Late-Victorian England,” which uses accounts of bicycling in Victorian novels to examine how people moved easily between antiquated rural communities and modern cities during that era’s agricultural depression.

Austin Peay State University Athletes participate in Plant the Campus Red

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay athletes again helped with annual Plant the Campus Red, held Wednesday afternoon all over the APSU campus.

Annually, APSU invites its students, faculty, staff and other volunteers to participate in helping beautify the campus. Austin Peay athletes provided a portion of the support for the project, organized by the University’s Community Activities Committee.

More than 250 volunteers began pulling weeds, spreading mulch and planting flowers at 2:30pm. Ice cream was served in the APSU University Center Plaza to conclude the afternoon’s acitivities.
